People of Lockheed Martin: Meet Rich
Years at Lockheed Martin: 3 years
What is your current position? Quality Engineer
What are your day-to-day responsibilities? I support a lot of the supplier quality for the program team.
What made you want to work for Lockheed Martin?
Enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. and utilizing Lockheed Martin products daily solidified the desire to be a part of the Lockheed Martin team. I can recall an issue where local Afghan people trying to get to a village were being harassed by ISIS fighters in a solitary mountain pass. The fighters utilized a large caliber weapon to deter locals from voting in an election. It was critical to stabilization of the Afghanistan government that the population participate in the election. U.S. Forces utilized a missile strike to reduce the ISIS fighter’s weapons, ammo and their will to fight. This strike gave the Afghan locals the freedom of movement to participate in the election and stand on their own. I am so proud to contribute to a company which aids the American fighting forces in providing global stabilization. As my time in Marine Corps draws to a close, I will continue to ensure the end user has quality hardware to ensure they achieve first round effects on target. This is why I am proud to be a Lockheed Martin Quality Engineer.
