Polish Partnerships Going Beyond the Office Walls
Lockheed Martin has been a strategic partner for Poland’s national defense needs for more than 20 years, and as the company continues to invest in Poland, it’s going to play an active role in advancing Polish industrial capabilities and generating growth opportunities in the communities where our employees live and work.
The company has more than 1,700 employees in Poland, works with more than 470 suppliers and sustain more than 5,000 jobs.
Since we signed PAC-3 WISŁA offset project implementation agreements with PGZ and PGZ companies in March 2019, Lockheed Martin has hosted many Polish company leaders to discuss project plans and tour Lockheed Martin manufacturing locations related to the offset projects.
In support of the PAC-3 WISŁA offset projects, this month, we completed construction and opened an office in Warsaw to support offset programs. The mission of the office is to be a hub for the PAC-3 offsets execution team in-country, providing centralized office/meeting space in support of all projects, and seamless integration with the existing Lockheed Martin office in Warsaw.
This office plans to hire approximately 10 people over the course of the next several years. The employees in this office will play vital roles in continuing our long-term partnership with our Polish industry partners.
As the office is stood up, there are already a couple employees playing that vital role.
Anna Ortylewski, born in Poland and recently moved back in 2018, has worked for Lockheed Martin since 2006. Patryk Gilowski has been with Lockheed since early 2019. Gilowski has worked across Europe, but was born in Mielec, and recently moved to Warsaw in 2019.
Both Ortylewski and Gilowski have strong family ties to Lockheed Martin. Ortylewski’s husband and brother both work for Lockheed Martin Sikorsky, and Gilowski’s wife works at PZL Mielec, a Lockheed Martin Company.
In the past, they’ve both worked on the S70i Black Hawk for PZL Mielec. Currently Ortylewski works as the program subcontracts senior manager for PAC-3 Poland offset responsible for all in-country operations in support of program execution. Gilowski is the in-country senior quality engineer for the program. Both Ortylewski and Gilowski work to build strong partnerships in Poland with the offset companies and other stakeholders.
Gilowski enjoys being part of a team that shares the knowledge and skills to establish future competencies that lead to excellence for Poland while developing enduring partnerships with Polish industry.
For Ortylewski, this job brings the opportunity to be a part of a team that performs and upholds customer commitments. Being able to provide innovative technology and knowing that the technology is providing capabilities and potential future business to Poland, makes the role rewarding.
With the Lockheed Martin office opening in Warsaw, and permanent in-country presence expanding, Lockheed Martin is looking forward to building long-term relationships based on trust, knowledge sharing, and technical support assistance. These partnerships and capabilities provide opportunities to make our industry partners an approved source of supply for future Lockheed Martin requirements.
