Announcing New Leadership for Lockheed Martin’s Global Business Development and Strategy Organization
Lockheed Martin has announced that Global Business Development and Strategy Senior Vice President Michael Willamson is retiring, following a distinguished career of service in the military and industry.
Dan Tenney has been appointed to succeed Williamson as senior vice president, Global Business Development and Strategy, effective Feb. 16. Tenney has more than three decades of experience in industry, government and academia, most recently leading Strategy and Business Development for Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems business.
Williamson joined Lockheed Martin 2017 after a decorated career in the U.S. Army, where he served as lieutenant general and held senior acquisition and leadership roles. At Lockheed Martin, he led enterprise-wide business development and corporate strategy efforts, helping position the company to meet evolving customer needs and advance integrated, mission-driven solutions.
"Michael’s leadership and strategic vision will have a lasting impact on Lockheed Martin and our customers. We are grateful for his years of service and commitment and to our mission,” Lockheed Martin Chief Operating Officer Frank St. John said. “We are also pleased to announce Dan Tenney as his successor and are confident in his ability to continue advancing our global growth and customer engagement priorities.”
“As we transition to new leadership, I am confident we will continue to deliver critical capabilities to support our customers’ missions, as they face increasing threats around the world. I am proud of the trusted relationships we’ve built with customers,” Williamson said. “Dan has delivered record-setting growth for our business and has my full support as he takes on this new role.”
