Woman & Veteran-Owned Small Business Certifications

Updated Woman and Veteran-Owned Small Business Certification Guidelines

February 20, 2026

Effective February 1, 2026, all small businesses that currently identify as a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) or Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), are now required to go through the Small Business Administration (SBA) certification process in order to validate this status. This places responsibility on a small business to work through the SBA to ensure correct certification. Failure to obtain the WOSB or VOSB certification through the SBA will result in the suspension or revocation of status, potentially impacting eligibility for future procurement opportunities.

If you have any questions or concerns about the new WOSB or VOSB and certification process or the SBA's eligibility criteria, contact your Lockheed Martin procurement representative for assistance.
