Katie Swanson is a Senior Investment Manager with Lockheed Martin Ventures, where she focuses on strategic investments and advancing innovation in support of national security priorities. She brings a multidisciplinary background spanning science, entrepreneurship, and venture capital, with a focus on bridging commercial innovation and prime contractor markets. 

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin Ventures, Ms. Swanson was a two-time founder turned venture capitalist with over five years of experience across corporate and financial venture capital. She has advised venture capital firms, early-stage startups, and private equity firms, and has played a key role in the establishment of more than 40 venture capital firms globally.

Ms. Swanson earned her degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she studied Chemical Hydrology, Public Relations, and English.
