The Canada Army Run, September 10 to 19 is about Canadians and the Canadian Armed Forces – Navy, Army, and Air Force – joining together in a spirit of camaraderie and community.

Lockheed Martin Canada is a proud sponsor of the Canada Army Run again this year. Although the race remains virtual, employees are invited to participate in any of five events — the 5k, 10k, 5k+10k, 21.5k half-marathon, or the 26.1k races.

“My grandfather served in the Navy during WW2. The run gives me a chance to fondly remember him and the good times we had while I was growing up. Training for the Army Run also allows me return to some sort of normalcy after the trying times we’ve had over the last couple years,” says Rob Dean, Technical Support Analyst. “I also enjoy the comradery with my fellow runners. We support each other, talk to each other about our training, and how we felt during the run.”

The Canada Army Run is an opportunity for Canadians to say thanks to the men and women who serve them in so many ways at home and abroad, and a chance for the troops to extend the military esprit de corps to Canadians while thanking them for their support. Participants are encouraged to walk, run or roll their way to the finish line to champion the causes Support Our Troops and Soldier On.
