In 1999, the United States Congress officially designated May as National Military Appreciation Month.
It is important to recognize and honor the significant contributions made by our service members, and their families. This year, we celebrated the military spouses employed at Lockheed Martin with our first-ever Military Spouse Alliance event.
The Lockheed Martin Military Spouse Alliance is part of our Military/Veterans Business Resource Group, which is a voluntary, employee-led network. In honor of Military Spouse Appreciation Day, we hosted a virtual networking and listening event with Leslie Coffey, the vice president of military engagement with American Corporate Partners. As a military spouse of 26 years, Leslie understands the unique challenges military spouses face professionally.
