Meet Rachel

Rachel, a former Army logistics officer, initially focused on logistics roles that mirrored her Army experience. However, as she explored more, she discovered her skills reached beyond logistics.

Through the Hiring Our Heroes program, Rachel transitioned to Lockheed Martin as a senior integrated program planner, finding invaluable support within the program-planning community.

“Everyone I’ve worked with has been so helpful with my transition to the civilian sector,” she said.

I initially looked for logistics jobs that directly related to my Army position. I found that my Army experience went beyond the title of my job. I believe [it] has made me more adaptable in professional situations.

Meet Neil

A 20-year Marine Corps veteran, Neil recognized the importance of early planning for his transition. With help from SkillBridge, he gained real-world training in his last 180 days of service.

Now an items analyst, Neil feels his military background is a valuable asset.

I immediately set my sights on Lockheed Martin, a company with a strong reputation for hiring and supporting veterans.

My colleagues have become like a second family to me…they provide me with a level of job satisfaction and quality of life that I never could have imagined.

Meet Carl

After 20 years in the Air Force, Carl transitioned to Lockheed Martin’s Talent Acquisition team as a senior sourcing strategist. Networking and mentoring were key to his successful job search.

“My mission in the Air Force was to inspire, engage, and recruit the next generation of airmen and guardians,” Carl shared. “I’m in a very fortunate position now that allows me to continue serving these same men and women.”

He believes veterans bring unique skills to the workplace:
